Hello! I’m Percy Pearl, a humanistic counsellor working one-to-one with clients in Brighton and online. My pronouns are they/them. Read on to find out how and where I work, my fees and how to contact me.

My counselling approach is existentially-informed: I offer a welcoming space to explore your questions around existence, relationships and uncertainty, strengthening your sense of agency, and enabling your insights to emerge in their own time. This therapeutic relationship can bring about awareness and acceptance that feel transformative.
I’m passionate about social justice, liberatory processes and ecological concerns, and critical of the idea of the isolated self-sustaining individual. Inner and outer are not separate; individual, social, cultural and ecological are interdependent and always touching.
My practice is anti-oppressive and LGBTQIA+ affirmative, underpinned by my long background as an arts-based facilitator using creative approaches to make difficult questions accessible. I support gender, sexuality and relationship diversity. I subscribe to the social model of disability and try to make my practice as accessible as possible.
I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy at University of Brighton. I am now undertaking an MSc in Psychotherapy there. I’m committed to my ongoing professional development, and have done additional in-depth study in:

I offer a free 20 minute initial phone conversation so we can meet and talk about your needs before we decide whether to begin working together. After that, my fees are as follows:
£50 per 50 minute session
Face to face at the Queer Therapy Hub, Brighton BN1.

Online sessions, available no matter where you are located.

Therapy must be accessible to people facing hardship and/ or marginalisation. I offer some concessionary spaces for people on low incomes. I can also offer free time-limited counselling to people involved in climate and social justice campaigning.

Want to see if we might work together?
I’d love to hear from you.
